The Grade 3s and 4s at Westwind are fully engaged in work to prepare for our Comic-Convention. One piece of criteria this year is a comic about kindness, with two characters discussing why it’s important to be kind. Before starting, we reflected as a class on how many different ways there are to answer the question: “Why is kindness important?” We then made these responses come alive using our knowledge of comics and graphic features.
Here are some quotes from Grade 3 & 4 students showing their learning about kindness.
Why is being kind important?
“It is important to be kind because if you are kind to people, people will be kind to you.” -EB, Gr. 3
