Sports Day is Back!
During the pandemic, this community-building event was put on hold. Last year, Sports Day was organized in a way that allowed us to uphold the health and safety regulations, which meant that families were not yet invited to take part. This year, we were very excited to be able to host our Sports Day to include student leaders and family participation again! This was made possible with the time and efforts of a staff committee, student leaders and parent helpers. Ten station activities were designed and led by Grade 7 student leaders with the support of their teachers. Grade 6 student leaders took on the role of guiding their multi-aged teams through each station rotation on event day. Other highlights of the day included: a pre-school race, a wheels parade (including bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, etc.), the PAC selling treats as part of their fundraising efforts, and the ever popular grade level 4-way Tug-of-War battles! It was an amazing community-building event enjoyed by all, with many parents and families in attendance.
